CORRECT GUIDANCE

Avoid these traps of hair restoration

Multiple names of FUE

Claim: We have invented this special technique of FUE & this is a unique invention, which gives great results.
Truth: All these techniques are basically FUE, just fancy names have been given.

Myths about FUT/ FUE

Claim: FUT is an outdated technique, we don’t do it. FUE is the best.
Truth: Both the techniques are good & in fact FUT is very useful in progressive baldness & high grade baldness.

Manipulation of results by Medicines

Claim: Medicines are only given to sustain existing hair, the entire result is because of transplant.
Truth: Sometimes medicines can contribute upto 90% of the result, which can be oversold as skill & large number of grafts.

High grade baldness results

Claim: FUE alone can cover grade 7.
Truth: Logistics don’t support the numbers & it is not possible to get that many grafts by FUE alone. Mostly it is medicine result, which is being sold as hair transplant skill & fake number of grafts.

Do it once

Claim: Just get hair transplant once & then it is done.
Truth: Hair loss can be progressive & you may need repeated transplants or increasing doses of medicine.

Transplanted hair are permanent

Claim: Transplanted hair are DHT resistant & they stay for life. Truth: Transplanted hair are relatively resistant, but they can also thin out over a period of time.

5000 grafts in a single day

Claim: We can do 5000 grafts in a single day by combining FUT & FUE.
Truth: It is not possible to do that many grafts in a single day, mostly it is medicine’s result, which is sold as hair transplant result.

Multiple sessions of PRP

Claim: For maximum benefits of PRP, 5-6 sessions are needed.
Truth: Multiple sessions are not needed & don’t give any extra benefit.

VIDEOS ON DONOR AREA MANAGEMENT & METHODS

STRATEGIES FOR EFFECTIVE DONOR MANAGEMENT

  • “Even with 1 Billion Dollars, you can’t buy a single hair, if it is not on your body” Dr. Shaiil Gupta, MD
  • Avoid overuse: Don’t invest the entire donor in one shot, as you might need it for future.
  • Combination techniques: Combining FUT, FUE or Body hair will save your donor & will give you optimal coverage.
  • Don’t go to unsafe zone: Grafts taken out from unsafe zone, will not stay for long.
  • 2nd Surgery: If 1st surgery was FUE, 2nd should always be FUT. If FUE is done, can lead to more scarring & gaps in the donor as well as higher transaction rate of grafts.

VIDEOS ON MEDICATION

STRATEGIES FOR BALANCED USE OF MEDICINE

  • “PAY ONLY FOR THE SKILL, NOT FOR MEDICINE” Dr. Ruchi Agarwal, MD
  • Impact on Hair transplant results: Medicines can improve density, coverage & beautiful hairline aesthetics, which people can buy as a hair transplant result.
  • Avoid overuse: Medicines can have side effects if overused, so minimal use of medications can help & should be used only if it is a must.
  • Option of Microdosing: This option must be given to the patients, which can set the right balance between the side effects & the benefits. This will also give you a safe buffer to increase the doses in case of tolerance developing to the medicines.
  • Gap between expectation & Reality: Medicine’s manipulation can increase the gap between expectations & reality, which will hurt the long term goal of sustaing the hair for long.
  • Avoid abrupt stoppage: Stopping the medicines will reverse the gains, which you achieved through them.

REMEMBER MEDICINES ARE IMPORTANT, BUT SHOULD BE USED WITH CAUTION. THEY CAN JUST BE FREE HAIR & FREE CREDIT FOR THE SURGEON, WHICH CAN COVER UP THE LACK OF SKILL OR OVERPROMISED NUMBER OF GRAFTS.

What our Patients are Saying

My research about hair transplant started from Sweden, travelled across the world including Europe, turkey etc. but thankfully ended beautifully at Satya Clinic. After meeting Dr Shail I could not have wished for a better clinic & doctor.

Mr. Adam Anderson, Sweden

I got my surgery done in a clinic in gurgaon, which is famous for celebrity hair transplants. Got decent result, but only to realise later that the result was majorly because of medicine & I was left with gaps & unnatural hairline. Got to know about this after watching YouTube videos of Dr. Shaiil. Got my hairline fixed with minimal medication. No other doctor has given that clarity in hair transplant. Very happy with my results & this time they are real.

Mr. Aman , India

I had a done a transplant earlier in UK, it was horrible & had almost ruined my life. Dr Gupta is a real saviour, he created the magic & I have a very natural looking hairline now.

Mr. Sikander Aliawadhi, Florida

While every clinic was suggesting me 5000+ grafts & daily dose of medicine, only Dr Ruchi Agarwal, gave me clarity about the actual number of grafts and micro-dosing of medicine. With just 2500 grafts & twice a week medicine, I got wonderful results.

Ms. Rakshit Tayal, Dubai, UAE.

The best thing about Satya is their Balanced Hair Transplant approach. At young age getting a hair transplant wasn’t easy for me, but Satya made it easy by meticulously planning the hairline & saving my donor by minimising donor usage & still creating aesthetically beautiful hairline. At the same time with minimal dosage of medicine, they ensured that I don’t have health issues.

Mr. Mritunjay Singh, Australia

N- FAQ’s
(Not so Frequently Asked Questions)
But you need to ASK

Most of the times the results which are flashed on internet or not pure hair transplant results. They can be contributed up to 90% by medications, in terms of coverage, density and hairline aesthetics, because of which an ordinary work can also look great, leading to wrong selection of surgeon. You should only pay for the skill of surgeon, not the medicine.

They won't be able to give similar results without medicine, what can be achieved with daily dose of medicine. But unfortunate part is many clinics do not acknowledge the contribution which comes through medications and show these results as hair transplant results and a testimony of their skills. This will obviously create a gap between expectations and reality, leading to disappointment later on.
Trusting a clinic which is not honest enough to disclose these important facts upfront might hurt you later on. And this is a very consistent finding in all those patients who come to us for repair transplants.

The effect which you get because of medicine is directly proportional to the dose of medicine. So if the medicine dose is reduced, the contribution in results will also be reduced. This will lead to less free hair and free credit points for the surgeon. So many people might not like this approach as it will take away the chance to glorify their results.

Normally, you have almost 60 to 70,000 here in the areas where you lose them in grade 7. And there are 30 to 40,000 Hair in the donor area. It is obviously not possible to take all of them out so the demand and supply don't meet. But you see so often grade 7 results, being flashed as a testimony to supreme skill. But you will be surprised to know that this demand and supply gap is filled not by the skill or the grafts, but by the medicine which may contribute up to 90% of the total result.

Generally, people overrate the skill of the surgeon and many a times the number of graphs are also over promised and never delivered. Every thing is covered up nicely by the contribution of medicine, which many a times doctors conveniently forget to acknowledge. You have the right to pay only for the work actually done by the surgeon.

Remember, hair restoration is a journey, not one point destination. So you cannot invest all your donor even if it is available at that point of time. Similarly, having very high doses of medicines at the beginning of journey might cut short your journey, however, it will look great in the beginning. So if you are aiming for long-term sustenance of your results, you should go for a more balanced approach and conservative use of your resources.

More than 99% clinics in the world to only a FUE technique and ridicule FUT technique by saying that it is obsolete. This is a very wrong practice. You will find many influential and powerful people across the globe getting FUT done because in case of progressive boldness and high-grade baldness, FUE alone will just destroy the donor. Unfortunately, most of the doctors or not trained to do FUT, and at times, they are not honest enough to admit their lack of skill, thus pushing the patients for something which is not good in their long-term interests. Remember FUT & FUE, both are important and integral part of your hair restoration journey.

Whenever you see such claims, be aware as it is not possible to do that many in a single day. Either the number would be fake and over promised, (which is the case in majority of such claims). Or these numbers are done at the cost of quality and eventually leading to very poor growth and donor damage.

If you keep taking a medicine for a long time, the same dose of medicine may not keep working at the same capacity. We have to increase the dose is to sustain the effect. So if you start with high doses, you will have to move to higher doses which might predispose you to higher risks of side effects.

No one would like to have the medicines for life and at times doctors hesitate to tell you the truth. But then this again leads to disappointments later on as stopping the medicines will lead to serious rebound hair loss.

The results which you are shown by different clinics across the globe or not even a tip of the iceberg of the actual number of transplants being done. Most of the people need another transplant or those who consume high doses of medicine develop either side effects or tolerance. So having the right strategy will actually help you to go the distance and achieve long-term sustainable results with minimal health risks.

Most of the times crazy number of PRP sessions are recommended after transplant. In our experience we have found that multiple sessions of the treatment actually don't give you any additional benefit. They are unnecessary & waste of time energy and money. This can also induce tolerance and make the treatment ineffective. So please avoid this trap.
